Lists

I am all about lists.
I will right it down; groceries, desires, house chores, names for theoretical children.
You name it, I make it a 'to do'.

The result is that I find to do lists all over the place. More often then not they are completed- in other words I have done them and forgot to throw them out. Yes I have that many.

Every once in a while I come across a fun one.
In the back of my planner I came up with 6 things to do in case I get 'stuck'.

What I mean by stuck is: bored or glued to the boob tube (ok we don't have a tv we have a projector where I watch movie after movie or TV series in their entirety). This list has come in handyl to keep me moving forward. Yoga is on that list.

The reason this is relevant to my yoga blog, where everything is centered about well- being is that I recently had a birthday. I found a sticky note (on my computer apple stickies) with a list of 4 things I wanted to accomplish since my previous birthday up until this point.

Guess what, I had accomplished all but one.

These were not small things like cleaning the kitchen or picking up some tomatoes from the store. They were important milestones. They were things that I would not have realized had I not taken a step on the path that this blog paves. That path is well - being.

Because I wrote them down, I believe I was able to focus myself and make them a reality.
In this next year of my life, I have made a list with three things.

These things are personal and the degree to which I obtain them is a process that happens all year.
I can measure myself by these goals.
Looking back, I can't believe I wrote these goals a year ago. It seams like yesterday that I was fantasizing about accomplishing them. But if I hadn't written them down, if I hadn't organized my thoughts in that way, maybe I wouldn't feel as accomplished and fulfilled as I do now.

Do you make lists?
Do you set priorities or rules for yourself on paper or in your mind?
How do you feel when you accomplish something you set out to do?

LOVE lists. Live by them for sure as well. I'm one of those people that will even write an item on the list after they're done...just so I can cross them off :) tehe!

I have an App on my iPhone for lists. You can create tons of separate lists. I have lists for my grocery shopping, bill paying, cleaning, things to buy, daily don't forgets... Checking them off is literally the most satisfying feeling I get everyday.

Hi Ellelove! I was on glucoseamine for a while but I didn't notice a change in the health of my knee. Upon further research, several studies show that glucosamin/chondroitin is not effective. But there is no harm in taking it.

That research is here: http://www.healthzone.ca/health/yourhealth/agingwell/article/781287--knee-pain-glucosamine-and-chondroitin-no-more-effective-than-placebo

As far as fish oils go, I was concerned about the mercury content and stopped taking them. (I know just enough to be dangerous but not enough to know for sure what is not healtyI suppose there are alternative and healthy omega 3s out there but I haven't found any.

Thank you for the suggestions. Please keep them coming :)
